We have all survived another Conference, although some thought Darwin was a bit hot & humid, to them I say lucky we moved the conference forward from November or you would have known hot & sticky.

From the conference surveys received so far the conference was a great success on all fronts education, networking, location, venues & food. To our speakers who made the conference both educational & entertaining a sincere thank you, and I will make a special mention of two Alan Manning who enthralled all for 4 sessions on Business Interruption (not an easy task) and Noel Donovan who spoke for 2 sessions on Underinsurance also not a sexy topic.

The Conference dinners were very different in style; with the welcoming dinner sponsored by CGU at Crocosaurus Cove being to quote attendees “wild’ “amazing” “Incredible” “fantastic” and “an experience never to be forgotten”. The QBE sponsored closing dinner at the Crowne Plaza was a very relaxed stylish affair allowing for a night of networking and fellowship.

To those who missed out on Darwin don’t make the same mistake in 2009 make sure you attend in sunny downtown MELBOURNE. The date and venues have not been finalized but early October is most likely because of the spring racing carnival.
